PRORATING
If you sign up after the quarter has begun and cannot make up the
classes you missed, you can calculate your prorated fee by multiplying
the number of weeks left by the number of classes per week for which
you are registering.
We encourage you, however--if convenient for you--, to pay for
the whole session anyway, and make up the class(es) you missed.
That would give you the opportunity to experience two classes a
week when you do the make-up(s).
DISCOUNTS
Avail yourself of our generous discounts. Only one discount, however,
applies per person, per quarter. Discounts are available for classes
only, and only if they are taken for the full number of weeks scheduled.
Workshops are not eligible for discounts.
The following are people who can get a 10% discount:
full time university students
people who are 65 and better
members of the same immediate
family, i.e. household
3 or more people of the same
workplace
any current student who recruits one
person new to PYS (both must register for a term of 10 or more classes
Some proof of discount allowance is required.
REFUNDS
Refunds for classes availible prior to the first class only. No refunds for workshops. Absence is nonrefundable, but classes
may be made up with any teacher within the session enrolled.
MAKE-UPS and DROP-INS
Make-up classes may be taken anytime within the same quarter,
space permitting. To arrange for a make-up or drop-in class, please
call ahead of time, at least four hours ahead of the class, to be
sure there is space for you. Call 799-0054. If you do not get a
return phone call, presume there is space for you.
You may make up a class in advance
of an anticipated absence. In other words, you need not make up
the class within the same week that you missed the class. That means
you may take more than one make-up class in a week.
Although our liberal make-up policy was designed to accommodate
our students' variable schedules, it is not meant to encourage a
"free for all" switching out of one's enrolled class into
another teacher's class. Therefore, we ask that students take
no more than three make-up classes with any one teacher other than
the teacher in whose class(es) they have enrolled.
If a change in work schedule creates the need to choose another
class mid-session, please contact us so that we can accommodate
you. If any of this is confusing to you please telephone us at 799-0054.
Thank you.
WHAT TO WEAR AND NOT TO WEAR
PLEASE NO PERFUMES OR COLOGNES. Wear comfortable non-binding clothes, yet no baggy clothing which
would make it difficult for instructors to see your alignment. You
will need to be barefooted. Short sleeved tee shirts, leggings (or
ski underwear) and additional long sleeve tops are ideal. We sell
unisex shorts among other items, for your convenience.
It is advisable not to eat immediately before class. It is an excellent
idea to bring your own mat. (We sell mat carriers as well as mats.)
But you need not bring anything since we provide all that you need
for yoga class, including mats.
